A Little About Me

I am a Connecticut-based artist and tattoo artist. I specialize in black and grey tattoos and pen and ink art, with some watercolor.

I grew up in the quiet northeast corner of Connecticut raised by hippie parents with a somewhat alternative upbringing. Some of my earliest artwork ranged from watercolor renderings of our many rescue animals to making signs for local peace protests. Through homeschooling, I was able to prioritize and explore my artistic interests without being limited by the confines of a more structured education. I found inspiration often in my surroundings, like listening to the tracks of my sister’s local radio show, the many fantasy books that she enthusiastically introduced me to, or sitting by the wood stove in the cozy and whimsical home my parents built.

When I was 18, I started my tattoo apprenticeship under Joe Niderno at Sky’s the Limit Studio in Ellington, CT. Along with technique and cleanliness, most of all this taught me the value of creating a safe, warm and professional environment for the client. I completed my apprenticeship after 3 years and have now been tattooing professionally for 9..

I recently opened my own studio in Willington, CT at the Mill Works. The high ceilings and tall windows of this old mill building make for a light, open and spacious environment for both client and artist. I am so grateful to have been warmly welcomed into this wonderful community.

I strive to make the vibe of my studio one of safety, trust, and respect while endeavoring to craft a signature piece of art you feel proud to wear. Perhaps this is why so many of my clients return to bring their kids for their first tattoos. As a parent myself, it is an honor to have this level of trust from my clientele.

It’s clear from looking at most of my artwork that I am still inspired by nature and all things whimsical. These are always some of my favorite tattoos to design and speak to my strengths as an artist. I’m always happy to create a custom piece that fits exactly what someone is looking for. But if that piece is a turtle with a castle on it’s back, I’m your guy.

Thanks for being here.
